German Star Ozil signs for Real Madrid

Special one goes to play for The Special One - the Sith always two there are no more no less a master and an apprentice

Real Madrid have completed the signing of Germany World Cup star Mesut Ozil from Werder Bremen.

The 21-year-old who was one of the stars of the FIFA World Cup in South Africa still had one year to run on his contract but the two clubs are believed to have agreed a fee of about 15m euros (US$19.3m) for him to move to the Bernabeu.

Madrid are set to unveil him at a news conference on Wednesday afternoon. Their website was in raptures in describing Ozil’s qualities
“His unique touch, unmatched individual technique, excellent ball control and deadly last pass make the German midfielder one of the brightest up-and-coming stars in European football.”

There seems to be no end to the talent pool that Mourinho is assembling. It was already one of the most star stacked teams in Europe before Mourinho got there, now he has added Ozil, Khedira, Ricardo Carvalho, Pedro Leon, Sergio Canales and Angel di Maria.

Ozil was one of the chief tormentors of England in their World Cup exit to Germany. There is a good chance with the talent available to connect with his pinpoint passes that the left footed midfielder will do the same to English based sides in the Champions League this season.
