Chelsea stay top with 2-0 victory over Arsenal

I believe I can fly - Didier Drogba continues his spectacular start to the season. Arsenal are his 'bunny' side at the moment.

A 39th minute Didier Drogba goal late in the first half put Chelsea in the box seat against Arsenal at Stamford Bridge. A Spectacular freekick from Alex five minutes from time was the icing on the cake for Carlo Ancelotti’s side.

There were many periods in the match where Arsenal was dominant but they couldn’t convert any of their chances despite coming agonisingly close at times.

It was always going to be a tough assignment for Arsene Wenger’s team. Ravaged by injury and playing away against the Premier League front runners who were smarting from their first defeat of the season at the hands of Manchester City last week.

Arsenal just have to ensure that they stay in touch, preferably in the top six on the table. It is inevitable that injury is going to hamper Chelsea as the season progresses. When that happens it will be a true test for Ancelotti who does not have the depth at his disposal that he had last season.

Arsene Wenger on the other hand has turned managing a depleted side into an art form. With Tottenham a bit up and down and Liverpool in the relegation zone it looks like Manchester City and of course Manchester united are the ones to beat at the moment.
