Sarah Ferguson off Prince William and Kate Middleton’s guest list

Sarah Ferguson - She might be on the outer and not invited but at least she has done the right thing and kept a dignified distance from the commentary box. Will that win her brownie points with mother in law? I think not.

Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York has been left off Prince William and Kate Middleton’s guest list for their April royal wedding.

Buckingham Palace has sent out 1,900 invitations for the wedding of the year and there has been much speculation about who has been invited.

While the usual posse of world leaders and royals will be in attendence, a spokesman for the Duchess of York says “She will not be attending the wedding. She never expected to be invited or to attend. She will be overseas at the time.”

The spokesman also added that Sarah Ferguson “won’t be involved in any commercial work in any way surrounding the wedding. She has declined all offers.” There had been strong rumours that the Duchess had been made a number of lucrative offers to be involved in commentary of the wedding.

Despite Sarah’s no-show for the Westminster Abbey ceremony, her daughers, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, will be among the most prominent guests.

Sarah Ferguson, desite being a close friend of Prince Williams mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, has een embroiled in controversy over the years which has put her on the outer with the royals.

Last year, the Duchess was filmed by an undercover reporter posing as an Indian businessman offering access to her former husband, with whom she still lives, for £500,000.

Her most recent gaff was last year, when she was filmed by an undercover reporter posing as an Indian businessman offering access to her former husband, Prince Andrew, for £500,000.

Newswarped would like to wish Sarah Ferguson all the best and congratulate her for keeping a dignified distance from the wedding and managing to turn down the dosh this time.

It is unclear if she wanted the commentary work or not, or if she just assumes that everyone offering her money now is an undercover reporter.
