John Lang dismisses talk that Inglis not ready

Fat? I am not fat. Didn't you listen to Johnny Laing? I am a race-day horse, yes I am.

South Sydney coach John Laing has dismissd speculation that star recruit Greg Inglis is over weight and out of shape on the eve of the Rabbitoh 2011 NRL season opener against the Roosters.

Talking about the ‘weight’ of expectation ahead of Inglis first match for the Rabbitohs, Lang said ”I don’t think it’ll worry him too much. He’s a race-day horse and I think he’s really looking forward to it. He’s done everything at a young age so I really don’t think that’s going to worry him.”

So John is not worried that Inglis looks fat and is rumoured to be 15 kilos over his playing weight. He is also not that worried that the Australia Test centre, is playing for the first time following shoulder and hip operations and only returned to full training last week.

Issac Luke and Sam Burgess are in the starting line-up tonight after not featuring in Souths dismal pre-season outings.
