Cinderella story as Prince William invites homeless woman to royal wedding

This young couple really are making the monarchy useful in the 21st century. We hope there are no Camilla's or Hewitt's lurking in the background to spoil the fairy tale.

Prince William has sent a personal wedding invitation to a former homeless woman he met at a gala for the Centrepoint charity he is patron for.

Not only will 20 year old Shozna (her surname remains a secret) get to take her seat among the worlds elite, she is getting a royal makeover fit for a princess.

Shozna will wear a dress by, celebrity fashion designer Raishma Islam, who says it will be ”fit for a princess”. The outfit, worth $2300, is made from silk hand-dyed in India and will be embellished with hand-sewn beading and embroidery.

She also picked a pair of designer heels from upmarket shoe retailer Jimmy Choo and a matching clutch bag to accompany her dress.

In October 2009, Shozna suffered a stroke which paralysed the right side of her body and left her unable to speak. Months later, after speech therapy and physiotherapy, she neded up homeless at 18 but was helped by the charity Centrepoint.

The young wedding guest said: ”I can’t thank everyone who has donated everything enough. It has been the most exciting time of my life.”

Newswarped thanks Prince William for having the courage to do what is right instead of what is expected. Shades of Princess Diana coming out in this chap.

The royal wedding between Prince William and Kate Middleton is not everyones cup of tea, but it does belong to the nation, if not the whole world. It is fitting that all of society is represented there. Not just the priviledged few.
