Man City 1-0 victors over Man Utd in FA Cup semi

The moment before Man City fans behind the Man United goal pop with too much excitement.

Manchester City have reached the FA Cup Final for the first time in 30 years with a rare victory over local rivals Manchester United at Wembley.

Manchester United made two bad defensive errors in the space of five seconds. City’s Yaya Toure was only too happy to take advantage of Michael Carrick’s gift to score the games only goal after 52 minutes.

Manchester City will now play the winners of Bolton Wanderers and Stoke City for the chance of some much needed silverware.

Manchester United opened strongly but with Dimitar Berbatov squandering two excellent chances, they faded as the game progressed.

To rub salt into the wound, United’s Paul Scholes sent off late on for a wild studs-up challenge on Pablo Zabaleta.
