Arsenal 1, Man Utd 0 – Chelsea still in title hunt

Potrait of an angry man - by renowned French artist Arsene Wenger.

The race to be crowned English Premier League champions is still alive after Arsenal scored a 1-0 victory of leaders Manchester United at Emirates Stadium.

In a game where Manchester United got a lot more shots on goal, it was Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey who proved the difference with a low shot into the corner of the net after Robin van Persie had cut back inside and laid the ball back for him.

It must have been a weird feeling for Arsenal fans knowing their hated rival fans at Chelsea were cheeering them on every step of the way.

Chelsea are now only three points behind Mnachester United with the two sides set to meet at Old Trafford next week.

There were two notable moments of controversy in the match with Manchester United’s Nemanja Vidic handling the ball away before van Persie could head it in.

Right at the end of the match Michael Owen was hauled down in the area by Arsenal’s Gael Clichy but referee Chris Foy waived play on.

Sir Alex Ferguson was very angry with the decision, but then Sir Alex is angry most of the time.
