Sebastian Vettel wins Monaco F1 Grand Prix for Red Bull

It is not as bad as Schumachers domination. At least the chasers are in the same shot at the finish.

Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel won the Monaco F1 Grand Prix for the first time and increased his lead in the F1 drivers.

A late safety car stalled the challenge of McLaren’s Jenson Button, and Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso.

Alonso finished second, Button third and Red Bull’s Mark Webber fourth.

Lewis Hamilton was sixth after suffering a penalty for a clash with Felipe Massa’s Ferrari.

The race was going down to the wire with less than a second between Vettel, Alonso and Button but with seven laps to go, Vitaly Petrov got caught in a pile-up and put his Renault into the barriers.

The reappearance of the safety car released the pressure on Vettel, and when the race resumed 20 minutes later, Vettel went unchallenged to add the Monaco title to his growing list of titles.
