Wayne Bennett to help Wallabies for Rugby World Cup

I am smiling. I have got nothing else to say to you mongrels from the media.

Champion rugby league coach Wayne Bennett is to help the Wallabies in their preparation for the Rugby World Cup in New Zealand later this year.

Wallabies assistant-coach, Jim Williams is wanting Bennett to provide some insights about how a sports team can succeed at a major sports tournament like the Rugby World Cup.

Bennett has indicated that he is happyto be involved. Knowing Wayne it will be an informal arrangement, involving the famous Bennett handshake.

The Sydney Morning Herald asked Bennett what he thought the key ingredient was in helping an underdog win a tournament. Bennett said “unwavering belief” is critical.

“From the head coach down to the trainer and the players, everybody has got to believe,” Bennett said.
