Italy urges NATO to suspend hostilities in Libya

Hey NATO!! Stoppa da bomba in Libya!! Hey aren't we a NATO member?

Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini has called on Nato to suspend hostilities in Libya to allow humanitarian aid to be brought to the war-torn country.

Mr Frattini warned Nato’s credibility is at risk because of recent civilian casualties from its bombing campaign.

Arab League Chairman Amr Moussa made a similar call on Tuesday, voicing reservations about the Nato campaign.

On Sunday a Nato missile apparently misfired striking a residential area and killing several civilians.

Newswarped thinks the tide has well and truly turned on Colonel Gaddafi. Now is not the time to take the foot off his throat.

It is a tragic fact that with the amount of weaponry flying around between all sides in Libya mostly in urban areas, there are going to be innocent casualties.
