Nicole Scherzinger replaces Cheryl Cole on US X Factor

Nicole Scherzinger will need to show a bit of X Factor to avoid suffering the same fate as Cheryl Cole.

Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole is to be replaced by Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussycat Dolls’s on the upcoming US version of The X Factor talent show.

Sources close to the show say that there were not any issues Cole’s strong northern English accent, but her lack of screen chemistry and personality has led to her replacement after only two audition episodes.

The X Factor, created by British entrepreneur Simon Cowell, is the highlight of Fox television’s upcoming fall television schedule.

Cole was Cowell’s personal choice for the panel and previously announced as the co-host of the show.

Just to make it a bad month for Cheryl Cole, she was also dropped from the British version of The X Factor last week.

Former American Idol judge Paula Abdul and record producer Antonio “LA” Reid are also on the judging panel along with Simon Cowell and now Nicole Scherzinger.
