Stuart rings the changes for Blues Origin II squad

Will Hopoate set to make his Origin debut.

New South Wales Blues coach Ricky Stuart has rung the changes for his team to face Queensland for Origin II at ANZ Stadium on 15th June.

Manly teenager Will Hopate has been named in the centres and captain Paul Galllen moved from lock to the front row.

Hopoate is one of five changes to the NSW side that lost to Queensland in Origin I, with Manly teammate Anthony Watmough, joining Kurt Gidley and Luke Lewis on a new look bench.

Parramatta’s Jarryd Hayne is the other new face, fronting up on the wing as a replacement for injured Brett Morris.

A decision on the fitness of Canberra fullback Josh Dugan will be made tomorrow after he injured his ankle against North Queensland today.

Penrith centre Michael Jennings was ruled out through injury after suffering ankle ligament damage in Saturday night’s win over Gold Coast, while Cronulla prop Kade Snowden withdrew due to a back problem.

In other changes, Dragons secondrower Ben Creagh moves from the bench to the starting line-up as does Parramatta prop Tim Mannah.

NSW: Josh Dugan, Jarryd Hayne, Will Hopoate, Mark Gasnier, Akuila Uate, Jamie Soward, Mitchell Pearce, Paul Gallen (capt), Michael Ennis, Tim Mannah, Beau Scott, Ben Creagh, Greg Bird. Interchange: Trent Merrin, Kurt Gidley, Anthony Watmough, Luke Lewis.
