Tevez, 27, played for Corinthians between 2004-2006 and they are keen to have him back ever since he made it known that he wanted to leave Manchester City for family reasons.
Corinthians will now need to increase their bid if they are to persuade City to part with Tevez. They might not need to go too much higher though, with City despearate to buy Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero.
With Atletico expected to be asking £45m for Aguero, anything under £10m difference between the two has got to be attractive for City.
Corinthians will have to be quick though with their transfer window closing on 20th July.
