Skeleton found in US bank chimney identified

Joseph tried his reverse Santa theory and was coming down the chimney to collect presents.

The Skeletal remains found in the chimney of a bank in the US state of Louisiana have been identified as those of a man who has been missing for 27 years.

Forensic experts say the bones were the remains of Joseph W Schexnider, who vanished in 1984 at the age od 22. At the time of his disappearance he was wanted by police for possession of a stolen vehicle.

Schexnider’s remains were discovered by workers in May after the Bank of Abbeville began renovations. Police has suggested he probably starved to death inside the chimney.

Investigators say there is no sign of foul play and the most likely theory is that Schexnider, whose bones were found with gloves and cigarette lighter, may have been trying to rob the bank, and became stuck in the chimney. These detectives are dead set geniuses.

It is sad for Schexnider that he would have had days to reflect on what a dumb idea his cunning plan had turned out to be.
