Sydney woman stabbed by man who jumped into her car

It is time that scumbags and sicko's in Sydney stopped going on outings with their knives.

A Sydney woman has been stabbed in the back as she tried to run away from a man who jumoed into the passenger seat of her car and ordered her to drive at knife point.

The 25-year-old woman had just got into her car after shopping on Liverpool Road, Ashfield, about 8pm yesterday, when a man opened the passenger door and threatened her with a knife, police said.

As she tried to run away, the man stabbed her in the lower back.

Ashfield local area command duty officer, Inspector Michael O’Rourke, said a lot of people witnessed the attack and chased the man towards Holden Street.

Inspector O’Rourke said the woman did not know her attacker, who didn’t steal anything from the car.

“We’re unsure as to the motive, however he did order her to drive away at knife point,” he said.

“It’s unknown what his intentions were, but obviously something very sinister.”

The woman was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, where she is in a stable condition.

The man is described as being in his late teens, about 170cm tall, with a slim build.

He was wearing a dark hoodie and pants.

Hard to imagine where disturbed people get their ideas about harming other people from. Of course it is nothing to do with the nightly diet of graphic violence dished up on our tv screens.
